07/09/2023 - Baseball Factory Seattle All Star Experience (Ages 14-18) Alexei continues to shine with his baseball abilities on the diamond. Behind the plate he shows a squared setup and tracks the ball well with soft glove. He utilizes his body well through the blocking process but needs to work to get body down sooner. Pop times showed in the 2.40 range with accuracy / carry on his throws. Times will continue to drop as he works to get rid of the baseball quicker. At the plate, he shows a closed setup. Hands are quick (80 mph exit velocity) and work through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields with gap-to-gap pop. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. On the mound, fastball showed a range of 65-67 mph. Breaking ball displays a 10/4 shape with gradual break. Stock on the mound will continue to rise as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program.

05/14/2023 - National Showcase - San Francisco, CA Alexei is a C/RHP in the 2026 class. In the field, he has active feet and solid footwork. He creates positive angle to the baseball and his pocket has feel. Has the trust factor to make the routine play look routine. Arm plays at 78 and working to separate in the middle of his body will allow his hands and feet to be in sync for improved accuracy. On the mound, he operates with a 3-pitch mix from a ¾ arm slot. His FB touched 69 and was in the zone with tailing actions. His CB sat 64-5 with 11-5 shape and medium break in the zone. His CH has run at 68 and working to keep his FB mechanics will create deception. At the plate, he begins in a squared stance and uses a short stride. He engages his hips well and gets his back side through. Can use the back side of the field and demonstrates line drive production. Overall, Alexei is a solid two-way player in the 2026 class and scouts are eager to see his development at future BF events.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
