12/09/2018 - College PREP - Thousand Oaks, CA Alfredo is a solid, athletic 3B/RHP who has a promising future on the diamond. At 3B, defensive abilities are well above average as he displays clean actions. Feet are aggressive as he takes proper angles and plays through with his body. Glove action is soft / sure and presents out front. He moves well laterally with range improving as he improves foot quickness. At the plate he continues to shine, displaying well above average hitting abilities with solid power potential through an athletic setup. Hands are quick (85 mph exit velocity) and work through a level swing path. He has strength in his swing and shows a feel for the barrel with gap-to-gap pop. On the mound, fastball shows a range of 74-77 mph. Breaking ball displays 10/4 shape with gradual break. Stock on the mound will continue to rise as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. With 2 years to further develop, Aldredo has a lot of potential and will get looks from the collegiate coaches with his baseball abilities.
