Official Scouting Report

02/27/2022 - All-In Membership - Visalia, CA Alijah Guzman is a 2025 two-way player with qualities that will continue to improve as he develops over the next 3 years. On the mound, he features a 3-pitch arsenal that consists of some polished secondary stuff. He has a compact delivery and controls his landing which allows him to rotate through the target and stay through the mitt with all pitches. His CB has short break with 11-5 action and he does a good job keeping FB arm action on the CH. The FB currently sits in the high 60s but with increase in mobility overtime, expect to see the velo jump. On the field he shows a good work ethic, as well as a quick first step putting himself in good positions to make the routine plays. The glove presence at 3B is solid and uses his quick exchange and loose arm action to keep his throws accurate across the diamond. At the dish, he keeps a solid base and has a middle-middle approach. The bat path works on-plane with potential gap-gap power. With more physical maturity, he will continue to develop upon his current skills.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
