10/17/2021 - Official College Recruiting Membership - San Bernardino, CA Allan is a tall, athletic OF/1B who will graduate in 2023. In the OF, he displays smooth / fluid actions. Feet are active as he works to get behind balls but needs to play through with momentum to his target. He utilizes his foot quickness (7.10 60 time) in covering a lot of ground, displaying range. Throws are accurate but needs to build more arm strength through a long toss program. At 1B, he displays proper footwork around the bag and is a quality receiver. Glove action is clean and presents out front. At the plate, he shows a tall, open setup. Hands are quick and work through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line dive approach. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. With 2 years to further develop, Allan has potential with time and room to progress his game.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
