06/02/2019 - Interactive Video Program - Waleska (Atlanta), GA Alton showed solid all around improvements in his game during his last workout with The Factory. He lowered 60 time to 8.29 seconds, raised raw velocity to 65 MPH, and showed spikes in defense and hitting. In the INF, Alton has active feet and he moves with good agility to the baseball. He fields in a low/square position, his exchange is clean, and he throws with consistency to 1st base. Offensively, Alton has a square stance, good balance, and a level swing. He loads well, swings on plane, and hits with strength to the pull side. Overall skills can continue to get better with work on the following.

Infield
1. Hands
2. Fielding position
3. Release
Offense
1. Shorten swing
2. Rhythm
3. Bat speed

04/07/2018 - Mid Atlantic Regional Accelerated Hitting Weekend (Ages 12-14) Alton is a hardworking and talented prospect that made several adjustments during the Mid-Atlantic Regional Accelerated Training Weekend. At the plate, Alton starts in a closed stance and get his front foot down on time. He creates separation in his load but needs to continue to bring the barrel back into the drive position. He stays balanced through contact, uses his back side, and has fast hands to the ball. Continuing to attack the inside part of the ball and keeping the barrel flat through the zone will help him keep a middle approach.

03/18/2018 - Interactive Video Program - Greenville, SC Alton is a young, 3rd baseman with solid skills. Defensively, Alton has active feet, soft/presentable hands, and he moves with athleticism to the ball. He fields in an athletic position, has a clean exchange, and throws with accuracy to his target. At the plate, Alton has an athletic set-up, good balance, and he swings in good rhythm. He is an aggressive hitter with a direct barrel to the ball and can work it gap to gap. Alton can improve with work on the following.

Defense
1. Long toss
2. Release
Offense
1. Swing path
2. Stride
3. Bat speed

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
