11/10/2016 - Baseball Factory Select Training & Competition at Pirate City Amadeus is a big, solid 3B who will graduate in 2018. At the plate is where he shows best through an athletic setup. Hands are quick (80 mph exit velocity) and work through a level swing path. He shows a feel for the barrel with power showing best to the pull side. At 3B, feet are active / aggressive as he attacks balls and plays through a low approach. Glove action is clean but will benefit by presenting more out front. Range will increase as he improves foot quickness. Mental makeup is a plus as he is very coachable and plays the game hard. With 2 years to further develop, Amadeus has abilities with time and room to continue to progress his game.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
