Official Scouting Report

  • RHP/SSPosition Projection

01/17/2020 - 2020 Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament Aman is a lean and athletic 2020 2-way prospect. At SS, Aman starts on the balls of his feet, he presents a low/early glove, and he creates angles to the ball. He has good energy on the field and he has a high baseball IQ. He also has a clean exchange and makes accurate throws from multiple arm angles. At the plate, Aman starts in an open stance, he has a simple load, and rotates his backside through contact. He has a direct swing path and looks to drive the ball through the middle part of the field. On the bump, Aman gathers over the rubber, he finds a balance point, and separates on time. He stays in line toward his target and he rides his back leg down hill. He attacks hitter with his fastball down in the zone, he has a 10-4 break on his curveball, and he has good arm action on his changeup. Aman will continue to improve with experience and we hope to see his progress in the future.

05/20/2018 - College PREP - Redwood City (San Francisco/San Jose), CA Aman is a hardworking RHP/SS prospect who has a versatile skill set. On the mound, Aman has a balanced, on-time delivery throwing from a 3/4 arm slot. He does a nice job engaging his hips throughout his motion. Aman lands closed to home plate with a controlled landing. He effectively pivots off his back foot as he finishes. Aman has an aggressive approach and goes right at hitters. He commands both his fastball with tail movement and medium breaking curveball. In the field, Aman plays with fluid footwork and covers ground in each direction laterally. He fields the ball in a square position with a firm glove. He does a great job with slow rollers and shows a smooth backhand when needed. Aman has a loose arm action throwing from a 3/4 arm slot. He plays with momentum through the baseball showing consistently online throws across the diamond. Offensively, Aman has an athletic setup with a firm front side and centered balance. He has smooth rhythm with a good load and on-time stride. Aman is direct with his hands and has an on-plane swing path. He is a line drive type hitter who has the ability to drive the ball to each gap. Overall, Aman is a well-rounded prospect who has potential to get even better.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
