06/25/2021 - Baseball Factory All-State Tournament (MS) Amari continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date. In the OF, he takes proper routes / angles in tracking down balls. He works to get behind but needs to play through with momentum to his target. Glove action is clean and presents well out front. Range will increase as he continues to increase foot quickness. Throws are accurate but will benefit by building more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, he continues to show as a switch hitter with similar abilities from both sides. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He makes consistent hard contact through a line drive approach with power showing best to the pull side.

11/10/2019 - Interactive Video Program - Wildomar (Los Angeles), CA Amari worked out behind the plate and at SS during his last workout with The Factory. He has fluid footwork behind the plate, a soft/presentable glove, and he sits in low and athletically. He looks the ball into his glove, blocks properly with a soft chest, and has an accurate arm with momentum to 2nd base. At SS, Amari has active feet, athletic actions, and he makes plays consistently. He has good pre-pitch actions, a quick exchange, and throws with accuracy across the diamond. His hips and hands works well and he keeps his head down at contact. From the left side, Amari starts in an open stance, he has a simple load, and gets his front foot down on time. Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
