06/18/2021 - Baseball Factory All-State Tournament (HS) Amir is a lean OF/RHP who has a promising future on the diamond. In the OF, defensive abilities are outstanding as he takes proper routes / angles in tracking down balls. He works to get behind balls and works to get behind balls and plays through with momentum to his target. Throws are accurate with carry (81 mph velocity) to his target. Range is a plus as he utilizes his quick feet (6.85 60 time) well in covering a lot of ground. At the plate, he continues to shine through a squared setup. Hands are quick (86 mph exit velocity) and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. On the mound, fastball showed a range of 73-75 mph. Breaking ball displays 12/6 shape with gradual break. Stock on the mound will continue to improve as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. With 2 years to further develop, Amir has potential with time and room to progress his game.
