07/30/2014 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 1 Amir continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date, now a solid runner at 7.39. He utilizes his quick feet well in attacking ground balls and displays proper footwork around the bag as he is a quality receiver. Defensive grade will continue to improve as he presents hands more out front. Throws are accurate but needs to build more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, he shows a balanced setup and shows aggressive approach. Hands are loose and make consistent contact, mainly to the pull side. Hitting grade will continue to improve as he works to keep hands inside the ball to utilize all fields. Power numbers will continue to improve as he finishes his swing and uses his lower half more. Mental makeup is a plus as he is very coachable and works hard to be the best player he can be.
