Official Scouting Report

07/08/2012 - 2012 Team One West Showcase Green improved his defensive grade in the MIF, now showing outstanding abilities. Feet are active / aggressive as he attacks ground balls and plays through well, displaying soft / sure hands. He shows big play potential but needs to improve foot speed to continue to improve defensive grade. At the plate, he shows as a switch hitter with slightly better abilities from the right side.

05/13/2012 - College PREP - Portland, OR Anders worked out at SS during his last workout in Portland, OR. Defensively, Anders has soft / sure hands, active feet, and he fields in a low / athletic position. He fields in good rhythm, centers the ball well, and he gets good glove extension to the ball. Anders has a clean exchange, and he throws with a loose arm with accuracy across the diamond. Added arm strength will only help defensive abilities improve. At the plate, Anders is equally as good hitting from both sides of the plate. He has a simple approach, fast bat speed, and he looks the part from both sides. Anders has a level swing, he makes consistent contact, and he swings in good rhythm. Staying short to the ball, and using more lower 1/2 will only help abilities from both sides improve.

07/15/2010 - Cape Cod Training 2010 - Session 2 Anders is a young (2015) MIF with a small, athletic frame that shows projection as he continues to physically mature. Feet are active in working around and playing through the baseball with his body. Glove action is presented down and out front displaying soft, sure hands. Throws show on line carry with accuracy as hands and feet work well together in getting rid of the baseball quickly. Offensively, Green is a switch hitter, projecting well from both sides. He shows a balanced approach that allows his hands to work to and through the baseball at contact. Power numbers are best from the right side with strength continuing to gain as he matures. With 5 years to further develop, Anders has a lot of potential with the makings to be a special type player as he continues to improve.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
