11/11/2010 - Arizona Fall Select Training & Competition - 2010
Anderson showed good overall improvements in his game since his last workout in Albuquerque. In the INF, Anderson moves well laterally, and he works to field the ball out in front of his body. He has decent arm strength for his age to his target. Improved body control and better rhythm will help defensive abilities improve. On the mound, Anderson has good separation, good balance, and his CH shows slight fade. He has a proper arm swing and competes in the zone. Anderson will need to lengthen his arm action, strengthen his arm, and use more lower 1/2 to improve mound effectiveness. At the plate, Anderson needs more aggressiveness. He has a level swing and decent rhythm, but needs more direct hands to the ball and better use of his lower 1/2.
09/26/2010 - College PREP - Albuquerque, NM
Anderson is a very young, athletic looking, 2-way player that will graduate in 2014. He currently projects even at 3B and RHP but has plenty of time to improve at both positions. In the INF, Anderson has a decent approach and he moves through the ball well. He makes the routine plays, has an okay exchange, and he throws with good carry to his target. Defensive abilities can improve if Anderson can approach the ball in a lower fielding position, field the ball further out in front of his body, and use more lower 1/2 when throwing. On the mound, Anderson has good separation, some A/S run, and a FB that touches 69 MPH. His top 1/2 works well, he competes in the zone, and will get better with strength and maturity. Offensively, Anderson has a good set-up and decent balance. He has a good load, pretty quick hands, and he puts the ball in play. Anderson can improve offensively if he can level off his swing and tap into more lower 1/2.
