12/27/2017 - Baseball Factory Christmas Camp & Tournament at Pirate City - Session 2 (Ages 14-18) Anderson is a lean, athletic MIF who has a promising future on the diamond. At the plate is where he shows best, displaying well above average hitting abilities with outstanding power potential through an open/athletic setup. Hands are quick (89 mph exit velocity) and work through a compact swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields and shows a feel for the barrel with gap-to-gap pop. In the MIF, he continues to shine as he displays smooth/fluid actions. Feet are active/aggressive as he takes good first steps in attacking the baseball. Glove action is soft/clean and presents well out front. He shows off his athletic abilities on his feeds of the double play. Range is a plus as he moves well laterally and covers a lot of ground. Hands/feet work well together as he gets rid of the baseball quickly and shows outstanding arm strength (91 mph velocity) with throws displaying on line carry across the diamond. Mental makeup is a plus as he is very coachable and plays the game hard. With 3 years to further develop, Anderson has the makings of a special type player and will get looks from collegiate coaches as he continues to progress his game.
