05/12/2019 - Interactive Video Program - Lakewood (Denver), CO Andres is a lean, athletic, 2-way player who plays SS and catcher. In the INF, Andres has active feet, a presentable glove, and loose overall actions. He moves well to the ball, fields in a square position, and throws with accuracy and momentum across the diamond. Behind the plate, Andres has quick/active footwork, he sits in athletically, and he presents his glove well. He looks the ball in, blocks softly, and throws with a quick release to 2nd base. Pop times were as low as 2.51 seconds. Offensively, Andres has a tall stance, a short stride, and he loads well. He gets the bat through the zone, and he can spray the ball to all fields. Solid overall skills can continue to get better with work on the following.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
