06/18/2021 - Baseball Factory All-State Tournament (HS) Andres is a 2B/RHP prospect who will graduate in 2023. Medium frame, well proportioned, athletic build with strength present and plenty of room to add more strength. At 2B, he starts with efficient footwork and ability to create good fielding angles. Ability to throw from multiple arm slots, with accurate/on-line throws, and an arm velocity of 85mph. On the mound, he gathers over the rubber and coils into his rear hip. 2 pitch mix with his fastball sitting 73-75mph and a developing breaking ball with 11/5 shape. In 2 innings of work, he recorded 3 strikeouts. At the plate, he sets up in an upright and open stance. Small hand load, with good separation, and gets extended through contact. Hit hard line drives to all fields and reached base 3 times in live game action with a bat exit velocity of 86mph. With continued growth and development, we foresee Andres having opportunities to play at the next level.

10/17/2020 - All-In Membership - Daytona Beach, FL Andres is a strong RHP/2B who has a promising future on the diamond. At 2B, defensive abilities are solid as he displays smooth/athletic actions. Feet are active as he works around balls and plays through with his body. Glove action is clean and presents well out front. Range will increase as he improves foot quickness. Throws are accurate with on line carry (85 mph velocity) to his target. At the plate, he shows a squared setup. Hands are quick (81 mph exit velocity) and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach with power showing best to the pull side. On the mound, he showed a controlled/repeatable delivery that allows his arm action to work well to the plate. Fastball showed range of 75-78 mph with arm side run and sink. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with tailing action. Control is solid as he throws strikes with all his pitches. Stock on the mound will continue to rise as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. With 3 years to further develop, Andres has potential with time and room to progress his game.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
