11/12/2020 - Baseball Factory Fall Select Tournament at Pirate City Andres is a coachable 2B prospect who worked hard on his skills during the Fall Select Tournament at Pirate City. In the field, Andres makes the routine plays and works to keep his throws accurate to his target. Getting into a more athletic fielding position can help Andres field ground balls more efficiently. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a square stance and takes a square stride. He gets his hands activated in his load and works through a level swing, producing consistent line drives. Andres can generate more pop off the barrel by driving his lower half more. With four more years to develop, Andres has the time and potential to further build upon his skills on the field.

07/14/2020 - All-In Membership - Lake Elsinore (Los Angeles), CA Andres is a R/R 2B who graduates in 2024. With the bat, this righty displays a tall/open stance with centered balance. He gets back into a loaded position and is ready to jump on pitches he likes. He takes a hack on-plane and sprays the ball to all parts of the field. Even more power potential is there with more use of his lower 1/2. Defensively at 2B, he hustles into a square fielding position and tracks GB's into his mitt. He gathers well and has a clean transfer to throw. Only a 2024 grad - Roman has tools with still a ton of time to progress.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
