01/15/2016 - Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament Andrew is an athletic (6'2"/190) SS who showed very well during his time in Arizona. Defensively, he has quick footwork moving fluidly from right to left through the GB. He has smooth actions and moves well laterally making the tough plays to his GS & BH look easy. He has a clean transfer and fires strong throws across the diamond. Offensively, this lefty stands in with good balance and patience. He has fluid rhythm to load and whips the barrel with plus bat speed, connecting with pop. He extends through contact and drives the ball on a line to - spraying the gaps. Bayard possesses the tools that will translate well into the next level.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
