11/24/2019 - College PREP - Shreveport, LA Andrew is a tall RHP/3B prospect who continues to showcase his skills on the field. On the mound, Andrew gathers over the rubber and separates his hands on time. He works with a loose arm and extends through his release, staying inline towards the plate. Andrew shows a four pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 80mph with arm side run. Breaking ball sits from 61-62mph with 11-5 break. Changeup sits from 68-67mph with arm side run as he throws with deceptive arm speed. Splitter sits from 61-65mph with good downward action. Driving his lower half more can help Andrew improve as a pitcher. In the field, Andrew shows active footwork and takes good angles to the ball. He gets into a low position and fields the ball out in front of his body. He makes a clean exchange and gains momentum well on his throws, keeping them accurate with carry through his target. Andrew can improve defensively by long tossing to build up his arm strength. At the plate, this RHH sets up in an athletic stance and takes short stride. He is smooth getting into his load and drives through well with his lower half. He takes a direct swing with fast bat speed, leading to solid contact to his pull side. Getting more extension through the ball can help Andrew improve as a hitter. Overall, Andrew is a solid prospect who has the potential to further develop his skills on the field.

01/18/2019 - 2019 Baseball Factory All-America Pre-Season Rookie Tournament Andrew is a skilled 2-way player (3B/RHP) who continues to progress on the diamond. With the bat. this righty stands in tall with active hands. He maintains centered balance, takes a hack on a level path and barrels the ball up with some pop, driving it back up the middle of the field. At 3B, he works into a square fielding position, tracks the ball into his mitt and is quick glove to hand. Arm action is quick with some zip on his throws across the diamond. On the bump, this RHP has an effective 3-pitch arsenal with which he challenges hitters. He works tall and drives downhill staying directional toward the dish. Fb tops out at 77 mph with good arm-side run. CB has 10/4 shape while CH has good sinking action and compliments his FB well. This 2022 grad has tools, a projectable frame and a ton of upside on the diamond.

11/25/2018 - National Tryout Plus - Shreveport, LA Andrew showed nice overall improvements during his last workout in Shreveport. On the mound, Andrew works at a good pace, he stands over the rubber well balanced, and he throws strikes. At the hot corner, Andrew has a good prep step, plays through the backhand, and makes the routine play. He has a strong arm and makes good DP feeds. Continuing to work from the ground up, fielding the ball in front of his body, and having a clean exchange will make Andrew a more efficient fielder. At the plate, Andrew starts in a tall stance, loads his hands into the drive position, and has fast hands. He has a still head and follows through at the end of his swing. Continuing to use the backside and attacking the inside part of the ball will allow him to drive the ball to all fields. Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
