01/13/2017 - Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament Andrew is an athletic/versatile player who can make things happen in a variety of ways. With the bat, this lefty stands in well with centered balance and fluid rhythm to load. He whips the barrel with speed on a level path and remains compact. He squares the ball up consistently and drives it on a line back up the middle of the field. At 3B, he takes good angles around the GB from right to left. Hands are soft as he works in-line toward 1B. Transfer is smooth with accuracy on his throws. This 2018 grad possesses the tools that will provide success on the diamond.

06/29/2016 - 2016 Under Armour Showcase: Baseball Factory's National South Andrew continues to show a promising future on the diamond. On the mound, this righty has a 3 pitch arsenal in which to keep hitters guessing. FB jumps out of his hand and shows some sinking action - 77 mph. Changeup is solid as he throws it with smooth FB arm speed - helping to create deception. Breaking ball displays 11/5 shape with late break. He works tall and drives downhill, repeating well. In the OF not many balls get down that are hit his way. Transfer exchange is smooth as he zips throws on a line through his target. He has the versatility to play all 3 OF spots effectively. A LHH - he stands in with a solid/strong base and has fluid rhythm to load. Barrel delivery is short/quick with aggression as he connects with power driving all parts of the field.

04/24/2016 - College PREP - Plymouth Meeting (Philadelphia), PA Andrew continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities. He shows a promising future on the diamond, possibly as a 2-way guy. Defensive abilities are now outstanding, displaying smooth / fluid actions. Feet are aggressive as he works around balls and plays through well with his body. Glove action is soft / sure as he presents well out front. Hands / feet work well together as he gets rid of the baseball quickly with accuracy and on line carry across the diamond. At the plate, he continues to shine through an athletic setup. Hands are quick, generating bat speed. He works to stay inside the ball, utilizing all fields. He has strength in his swing with baseball exploding off bat when centered, displaying gap to gap pop. On the mound, arm strength has improved as he threw his top velocity to date, topping out at 80 mph. Fastball showed a range of 77-80 mph. Breaking ball displays 11/5 shape with gradual break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup but needs to develop more movement on pitch. With 2 years to further develop, Andrew has the makings of a special type player.

01/15/2016 - Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament Andrew continues to shine on the diamond. Offensively, this lefty stands in well with good balance and fluid/active hands. He lets the ball travel into the contact point and whips the barrel with some speed. He squares the ball up and drives it on a line. He gets out of the box from the left side quickly and down the 1B line. At 3B - Andrew has active prep and comes the get the ball picking out the hops well. Hands as soft/sure as he has a smooth transfer and works in-line toward 1B. A 2018 grad - Andrew has a ton of upside and will only continue to improve. He's a player to keep an eye on.

09/30/2015 - Arizona Freshman/Sophomore Fall Classic Andrew is a talented prospect who showed very well during his time in Arizona. Offensively, this LHH shows an athletic setup with quiet/simple actions. He waits for his pitch with good zone awareness. Loose hands whip the barrel through the zone with bat speed as he barrels the ball up consistently, battling in AB's and proving to be a very tough out. He finishes with extension and drives the ball with pop to all parts of the field. He will be a run producer. At the hot corner - Andrew has athletic actions and moves fluidly around the GB. He has a high baseball IQ and is always thinking one play ahead. Lateral range is excellent as he makes the tough plays with ease. Brady has a ton skills which will garner him a ton of looks over the next couple of years.

05/17/2015 - College PREP - Bel Air (Baltimore), MD Andrew is a LHH 2-way player as a 3B/OF. With the bat, this lefty shows a balanced approach with rhythm in his hands. He connects with pop and has the ability to use the whole field. Even more power potential is there with more extension on his finish. At the hot corner, Andrew displays active footwork as he moves well around the GB. He is sure handed and has a clean exchange to fire throws across the diamond. In the OF, he takes solid routes/angles as he works into position behind the fly-ball. He gathers well and gains ground toward his target. Only a 2018 grad - this 6'2"/155 2-way player has a bright future ahead of him.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
