01/07/2022 - 2022 Baseball Factory Pre-Season All-America Tournament (AZ) Andrew continues to show as a prospect in his baseball abilities at the Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament. At the plate, he has strong/centered balance with fluid rhythm to load. He takes an absolute hack - crushing the ball to the deep parts of the park (exit velocity = 95 mph). At 3B, he works from the ground-up with smooth actions. Transfer is quick as he fires strong throws zipping (81 mph velocity) across the diamond. On the mound, fastball shows a range of 71-74 mph with tailing action. Breaking ball displays 11/5 shape with gradual break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with arm side run. Control is solid as he attacks hitters and throws strikes with all his pitches. Stock on the mound will continue to rise as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program.

01/15/2021 - 2021 Baseball Factory Pre-Season All-America Tournament (TX) Andrew is a talented & versatile 2-way prospect (3B/RHP) who continues to shine and showed well at the Pre-Season All-America Tournament. With the bat, this righty displays a balanced setup with active hands to load. He tracks pitches into the zone and jumps on ones that he likes. Barrel delivery is quick with + speed as he connects with pop creating consistent/hard contact. At 3B, he has pre-pitch actions and comes to get the GB. He works right to left, funnels smoothly and has a clean transfer to throw getting the ball out of his glove and across the diamond accurately. Carreon also has the ability to toe the rubber and compete. He has an effective 3-pitch arsenal in which to challenge hitters with. He works tall, has smooth separation and drive downhill toward the dish. FB shows good arm-side run and some sink, getting GB outs. Curveball has 11/5 shape while CH has good sinking action, complimenting his FB well. He attacks the zone and challenges hitters to swing the bat. Andrew (2022 grad) possesses the skills that will easily translate into the next level.

12/27/2019 - Under Armour Baseball Factory Recruiting Classic (Ages 14-18) Andrew is a hard working 2-way prospect that is a grinder with a high baseball IQ. At the hot corner, Andrew is on time with his prep step, he has a quick first step, and has range on both sides of the glove. He creates good angles, plays through his backhand, and makes accurate throws. At the plate, Andrew starts in a relaxed stance, he loads his hands back, and is always ready to attack the fastball. He has quick hands, a direct swing path, and is a line drive/ gap to gap hitter. On the bump, Andrew gathers over the rubber, he separates on time, and has a clean arm action. He has some run on his fastball and a medium break on his curveball. He throws both pitches for strikes and gets ahead of hitters early. Andrew will continue to improve with experience and we hope to see his progress in the future.

01/18/2019 - 2019 Baseball Factory All-America Pre-Season Rookie Tournament Andrew is a 3B/RHP prospect who showcased his skills at the All-America Pre-Season Rookie Tournament. In the field, Andrew fields in a low position and makes a clean exchange. He gets rid of the ball quickly and keeps his throws accurate with life across the diamond. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a square stance and takes a square stride. He is controlled getting into his load and produces solid line drives. On the mound, Andrew starts with a simple rock step and gathers over the rubber. He separates his hands on time and works with a clean arm, staying inline towards the plate. Andrew shows a two pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 75mph. Breaking ball sits from 60-63mph with 11-5 break. With three more years to develop, Andrew has the time and potential to further progress his skills on the field.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
