03/14/2021 - All-In Membership - Montgomery, AL Andrew is a solid, strong 3B/RHP who has a promising future on the diamond. At the plate is where he shows best, displaying solid hitting abilities with outstanding power potential through a squared setup. Hands are quick (89 mph exit velocity) and work through an aggressive swing path. He has strength and stays inside the ball with gap to gap pop. At 3B, defensive abilities are solid as he displays smooth / athletic actions. Feet are active as he works around balls but needs to play through with his body. Glove action is clean and presents well out front. He moves well laterally with range increasing as he improves foot quickness. Throws are accurate with carry (85 mph velocity) across the diamond. On the mound, fastball showed a range of 82-83 mph. Breaking ball displays 10/4 shape with gradual break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with tailing action. Control is solid as he throws strikes with all his pitches. Stock on the mound will increase as he builds more arm strength. Andrew has potential and will get looks from the collegiate coaches with his baseball abilities as he continues to progress his game, possibly as a two way guy.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
