07/27/2022 - Southwest Championships 17U, powered by Baseball Factory's Team One Andrew continues to show improvements with his baseball abilities at the SOUTHWEST 17U TOURNAMENT. At 3B, defensive abilities are now outstanding as he displays clean / smooth actions. Feet are active as he displays proper footwork as he works to square ground balls and plays through with his body. Glove action is soft / sure and presents out front. He moves well laterally with range improving as he increases foot quickness. Throws are accurate with carry (85 mph velocity) to his target. At the plate, he continues to shine through an athletic setup. Hands are quick (89 mph exit velocity) and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Lower half works well through the swing with an aggressive hip turn. At the event, he was 2 for 7 with a 2B. Mental makeup is a plus as he is very coachable and works hard to be the best player he can be.

01/30/2022 - All-In Membership - Bothell (Seattle), WA Andrew Charron is a 3B in the 2022 class. He is built with a strong lower half and immediately displays raw power. Andrew has a short swing with a direct path and makes loud contact. His potential raw power at 58 stands-out with his explosive bat speed and line-drive approach. Although he needs to continue to develop his timing at the plate, he will continue to develop into a good hitter with pull-side pop. At the 3B position he possesses the ability to throw from multiple angles. Andrew has active feet and gets into good athletic positions to field the ball. Can turn into a solid all-around player with developed arm strength and more experience.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
