09/01/2019 - Interactive Video Program - Hooksett, NH Andrew showed a lean, athletic frame on the mound and at SS during his last workout. On the mound, Andrew works quickly, he keeps his eyes on target, and works well to his balance point. He has good arm speed, lands with a proper length stride toward home, and he finishes in a complete position. At SS, Andrew has active feet, he takes good angles to field, and he fields in a square position. He works the double play well, his exchange is quick and clean, and he throws with momentum and accuracy to his target. Offensively, Andrew has a tall/square set-up, good balance, and he makes hard contact. He swings with intent and hits line drives consistently. Overall skills can continue to improve with work on the following.

Pitching
1. Lengthen AA
2. Finish
Infield
1. Play lower
2. Hands
Offense

08/09/2018 - Babe Ruth National All Star Classic Andrew is a coachable RHP/1B prospect who worked hard on his skills during his time at the Babe Ruth National All Star Classic. On the mound, Andrew works with a quick, clean arm action and extends through on his release, finishing with his chest over his front knee. Andrew shows a three pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 53mph. Breaking ball ranges from 46-49mph with 11-5 break. Changeup sits from 42-43mph. Andrew can improve as a pitcher by gathering to a balance point over the rubber. In the field, Andrew shows quick footwork and flashes good lateral range. He gets into an athletic position and makes the routine plays. He makes a quick exchange and shows a quick release on his throws, keeping them consistently on-line to his target. Andrew can improve defensively by presenting his glove sooner. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a square stance and works to barrel up the baseball. Andrew can improve as a hitter by working a smoother load into his swing. With seven more years to develop, Andrew has the time and potential to further progress his skills on the field.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
