11/10/2011 - Arizona Fall Select Training - 2011 Kilmer is a dual position kid, spending time mainly behind the plate, as well as third base. Behind the plate he's a big target and makes accurate throws down to second base, but needs to work on his footwork when throwing down. In the infield, he gets in front and plays through the ball, but needs to be more aggressive on slowly hit ground balls. At the plate, he has quiet movements and is short to the ball. His abilities at the plate should continue to develop as he learns to create some separation and keep his front side closed. This week in Arizona, Kilmer displayed great hustle and the ability to make adjustments when necessary.
