Official Scouting Report

04/24/2022 - All-In Membership - Binghamton, NY Andrew worked out in the OF and at 3B during his last workout with The Factory. In the OF, Andrew makes plays on balls hit his way through efficient footwork. He covers ground, fields squarely, and throws with consistency to his target. Abilities in the OF can improve if Andrew can follow throws more, add arm strength, and quicken footwork. At 3B, Andrew moves well to the ball and fields it squarely on his chest. He presents well, his exchange is clean, and he throws with consistency across the diamond. Fielding lower, and gaining more ground toward his target will result in better abilities at 3rd. Offensively, Andrew has good balance, a square set-up, and he swings in good rhythm. He has a direct barrel, he makes solid contact, and taps into some lower 1/2. Hitting can spike with a looser grip, more lower 1/2, and added bat speed.

02/27/2022 - Official College Recruiting Membership - North Branford, CT Andrew is a 2023 CF out of Wantagh, NY. Defensively, he had efficient footwork by taking good drop steps and routes to cover ground. He was able to get behind the ball decently and work through towards the infield. This allowed for his throws to be consistent to target with life. As a hitter, he uses an athletic set up with a strong load to stride and work to balance. His hands are loose as he delivers the barrel through the zone to contact while staying on plane. He works a line drive approach working the center of the field. Andrew is a strong player who will continue to improve his game with hard work over the course of the next year.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
