10/04/2020 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Canonsburg (Pittsburgh), PA Andrew is an athletic OF who has a tremendous future on the diamond. Foot speed is superior as indicated by his 6.50 60 time. In the OF, defensive abilities are at a pro level as he displays easy / athletic actions. Feet are aggressive and he reads balls well off the bat in taking proper routes / angles in tracking down balls. He work to get behind balls and plays through with momentum to his target. Hands / feet work well together as he gets rid of the baseball quickly with accuracy and on line carry (90 mph velocity) to his target. At the plate, he continues to shine, displaying excellent hitting abilities with outstanding power potential through an athletic setup. Hands are quick (87 mph exit velocity) and work through an aggressive swing path. He has strength in his swing and shows a feel for the barrel with gap-to-gap pop. With 2 years to further develop, Andrew has the makings of a special type player and will get looks from the top collegiate coaches with his baseball abilities.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
