Official Scouting Report

  • Class Rating
  • OF/RHPPosition Projection

10/11/2020 - All-In Membership - Sauget (St. Louis), IL Andrew is a young (2026 grad) 2-way player as an OF/RHP. In the OF, he takes a quick first step with solid routes/angles to track down fly-balls. He works into position behind the ball, secures it with 2-hands and has a clean transfer to throw. Getting on a long toss program will help to increase arm strength and will aid in his development in the OF. Offensively, this righty shows an open stance with fluid rhythm to load. He whips the barrel through the zone and engages his lower 1/2 well, hitting the ball where it's pitched and spraying it to all parts of the field. On the mound, this RHP throws a FB & CH from a high 3/4 arm slot. He maintains good pace, keeps his eyes on the target and repeats well. FB ranged from 54-57 mph while changeup has slight sink. Getting more glove-side lead and working to stay more directional will help to improve effectiveness on both pitches. Only a 2026 grad - Andrew has skills with still a ton of time to develop.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
