09/22/2019 - Accelerated College PREP - Beverly Hills (Detroit), MI Andrew is a tall C/RHP prospect who will graduate in 2021. Behind the plate, Andrew shows efficient footwork and is agile moving to block. He sits in an athletic stance and presents a good target to the pitcher. He makes a clean exchange and gains momentum well on his throws, keeping them accurate and on-line to the 2B bag. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a tall stance and drives the ball up the middle. On the mound, Andrew gathers over the rubber and separates his hands on time. He works inline towards the plate and finishes with his chest over his front knee. Andrew shows a three pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 79mph. Breaking ball sits from 69-70mph with sharp 11-5 break. Changeup sits from 67-71mph with arm side run as he throws with deceptive arm speed. Overall, Andrew is a solid prospect who has the potential to contribute at the next level.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
