01/15/2021 - 2021 Baseball Factory Pre-Season All-America Tournament (FL) Ripepi continues to shine and showed his versatility on the diamond in the INF while also stepping onto the mound at the Pre-Season All-America Tournament. As a hitter, he stands in with an open setup, centered balance and fluid rhythm to load. He looks to jump on first pitch FB's and doesn't get cheated, absolutely mashing the ball to the deep parts of the park (exit velo = 98 mph). At 3B, he has active prep with quick lateral actions. He has great energy and aggressively comes to get the GB. Hands are presented out in front as he funnels smoothly to a quick release. He has a cannon for an arm - firing throw with zip (96 mph) across the diamond. On the mound, Andrew throws a FB/CH mix and pounds the zone with strikes. Arm works loose/quick as he commands both pitches well. FB cracks the mitt topping out at 88 mph while showing great arm-side run. CH compliments FB well with run and sink. Andrew is a very talented prospect who will make an impact is a variety of ways in this only his junior season.

06/29/2020 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Pittsburgh, PA Andrew is a very talented RHH 3B prospect who can make things happen. With the bat, this strong righty steps into the box with a purpose looking to do damage. He has fluid rhythm to load, gets into a strong launch position and fires the barrel with quick hands. The ball explodes off of his barrel as he has the ability to drive it to the deep parts of the park (exit velocity = 94 mph). Defensively, he has active prep and works well right to left into an athletic fielding position. Hands are soft as he gathers to a quick transfer, firing strong/accurate throws across the diamond. Only entering his junior year, Ripepi is definitely a player to keep an eye on.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
