Official Scouting Report

01/18/2019 - 2019 Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament Andrew continues to showing a promising future on the diamond. At the plate - he has strong/centered balance with fluid rhythm to load. He takes an absolute hack - crushing the ball to all fields. At 3B, he has plus lateral range, working from the ground-up with smooth actions. Transfer is quick as he fires strong zipping across the diamond. This righty has a 3 pitch arsenal in which to keep hitters guessing. Fastball showed a range of 76-79 mph. Breaking ball displays 10/4 shape with late break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with sinking action. Andrew has a lot of potential and will get looks from the collegiate coaches as he continues to progress his game.

12/27/2017 - Under Armour Baseball Factory Recruiting Classic (Ages 14-18) Andrew continues to improve his game and show high level ability on the field. He has shown marked improvement in arm strength (82mph raw velo) that shows up on the mound and in the field. He flashes big upside at the plate with college-level bat speed as he works through the zone to show pull side pop and lots of raw power. He consistently hits line drives from gap-to-gap with fluid mechanics. At first, he has improved his footwork around the bag, being efficient to cover more ground. His hands are solid as he picks throws easily to help his infielders. On the bump, this big right-hander shows a three-pitch mix including a tailing fastball at 80mph, a sharp 11-5 curveball and a deceptive change. He works ahead in the count with in line mechanics and is aggressive trying to put hitters away. Andrew is a player who looks poised to make noise for the next level.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
