11/12/2017 - Interactive Video Program - Wildomar (Los Angeles), CA Anthony is a 2B/C with a small, athletic build. Defensively at 2B, he takes fluid routes/angles towards the GB. He comes up with a clean exchange and makes accurate throws to his target. Behind the plate, he sits in a low/athletic stance with quiet actions. He receives pitches with a soft mitt and has (+) blocking technique. With the stick, Anthony displays an athletic setup and gets back into a balanced load. He rips his lower 1/2, takes aggressive hacks through the zone and is a solid contact hitter. Overall abilities in his game will improve with work on the following.

Infield
1. Lateral quickness
2. Low fielding position
3. Develop soft hands
Catching
1. Lateral range
2. Quick to block
3. Arm strength (long toss)
Offense
1. Develop rhythm
2. Improve bat speed
3. More level swing path

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
