06/19/2011 - Interactive Video Program - Baltimore, MD Anthony is an athletic player that catches and plays 3rd base. Behind the plate, Anthony has firm hands, playable feet, and he holds a low target. He has good lateral movements, he looks the ball into his glove, and he covers the 5 hole well when blocking. Anthony has has long / loose arm action, and he throws with accuracy and carry to his target, but he will need to work on his footwork on his throws as a catcher and getting rid of the ball quicker. At 3rd base, Anthony showed soft hands, active feet, and he moves well side to side. He is aggressive to the ball, makes plays, and his exchange is clean. Anthony has a loose arm action and he throws with accuracy and some carry across the diamond. At the plate, Anthony has a square / athletic set-up, a short stride, and good balance. He has fast bat speed, he makes hard / consistent contact, and he makes good use of his lower 1/2. As of now, we project him more as a 3B though he is young enough now that he should continue to work on both positions. He can get better by doing the following:
Catching 1. Widen base 2. Quicken exchange Defense 1. Play more low to high 2. Lighten feet 3. Long toss Offense 1. Loosen grip 2. Shorten swing 3. Don't wrap bat
