01/12/2018 - Baseball Factory Spring Training at Historic Dodgertown Anthony is a hardworking shortstop prospect who graduates in 2024. As a left-handed hitter, Anthony has a tall, square stance with a centered balance. He has a load with a short stride as he uses his lower half throughout his swing. Anthony has a line drive approach and looks to put the ball in play. He is a contact type hitter who also knows how to run the bases. In the field, Anthony presents his glove and makes the routine plays. He fields the ball in a square position with firm hands doing a nice job to funnel. Anthony has a clean exchange leading into a long arm action throwing from a 3/4 arm slot. He plays with good momentum through the baseball and is developing arm strength. Overall, Anthony has a solid approach to the game and potential to get even better with development.

11/19/2017 - Interactive Video Program - Marlborough (Boston), MA Anthony is a lean SS who will graduate in 2024. Defensively at SS, he hustles hard laterally and tries to work into a square fielding position on GB's. He gets rid of the ball with a clean exchange and makes accurate throws to his target. With the stick, this LHH sets up square in the box and gets back into a good load. He swings hard through the zone and will drive outside pitches to the opposite field. Overall abilities in his game will improve with work on the following.

Defense
1. Quick footwork
2. Work low
3. Develop soft hands
Offense
1. Develop rhythm
2. Improve bat speed
3. Level out swing path

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
