02/26/2023 - National Showcase - Walnut Creek, CA Anthony is a talented 3B/OF in the 2025 class. On the grass, he shows quick feet (7.22 runner) and agile movements. Demonstrates solid angles with proper drop steps. He gets behind the baseball and works through it well. His exchanges are quick and has a feel for accuracy. Arm plays at 86 velo and can prevent free 90’s on the paths. On the dirt, again his feet are excellent. Has superior glove presentation and pocket feel. His exchanges are clean and demonstrates athletic ability by using numerous arm slots based upon his defensive zone. At the plate, he begins in a crouched stance and gains a square stride. His timing is smooth and his hands are fast (92 exit velo). Shows pull side power and can also go the other way based upon the pitch. Working to stay inside his feet will add additional power to his game. Overall, Anthony is a must follow in the 2025 class.

01/13/2023 - 2023 Baseball Factory Pre-Season All-America Tournament Anthony is a big and strong OF in the 2025 class. In the field, he gains a low fielding position and shows clean exchanges. He uses short arm actions from a high ¾ slot and his arm plays at 87 velo. Covers his defensive area well with speed (7.04 runner) and can play all three positions on the grass. At the plate, he begins in a squared stance and stays inside his feet well. Bat speed is explosive (88 exit velo) and his barrel is on-plane. Shows gap power and with work on his timing, he will gain further extension through the baseball. Overall Anthony is a solid prospect in the 2025 class.

07/20/2022 - Southwest Championships 16U, powered by Baseball Factory's Team One Anthony is a class of 2025 OF/1B prospect. At the plate, he starts in a square stance and does a good job keeping his hands loose throughout the swing. Does a good job getting his hands back and loaded while he also shows a short stride. Hands do a good job getting in the zone. Works the ball to all parts of the field. Showed exit velos up to 93 MPH. Showed good barrel control in game, and hit a walk-off HR. In the field, he shows very good mechanics when fielding. Does a good job of playing beneath the baseball. Shows lots of feel for the game and a high baseball IQ. Anthony is a bright young prospect that we expect to see more good things from in the future.

12/05/2021 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Sacramento, CA Anthony is an athletic OF prospect who continues to showcase his skills on the diamond. At the plate, this RHH shows an advanced approach through a square setup. He gets back into his load well and generates fast bat speed through the zone, driving the ball to all fields with authority. In the field, Anthony takes a good prep step and fields the ball out in front of his body. His exchange is clean and he gains ground well on his throws, keeping them accurate with carry through his target. Overall, Anthony is a talented prospect who will be one to follow as he continues to progress.

05/24/2020 - Official Player Development Membership - Keizer (Salem), OR Anthony is an athletic C prospect who will graduate in 2025. Behind the plate, Anthony shows active footwork and gains ground when blocking. He sits in a square stance and receives with a firm glove. He makes a clean exchange and gains momentum well on his throws, keeping them consistently on-line to the 2B bag. Maintaining balance when moving laterally can help Anthony improve defensively. At the plate, this RHH sets up in an athletic stance and takes a square stride. He is smooth getting back into his load and generates fast bat speed through the zone. He takes a level swing and produces solid contact to all fields. Anthony can improve as a hitter by driving his lower half more. With five more years to develop, Anthony has the time and potential to further progress his skills on the field.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
