Exclusive College Recruiting Program Anthony is an intriguing baseball athlete with a skill set that shows middle of the diamond potential with an advanced LH swing. A solid across the board baseball athlete who has fundamentals and a feel for the game with athleticism that is continuing to develop and adding strength and maturity to his frame before reaching college. Offensively, it's a compact LH swing with good balance and use of his lower half to generate bat speed. He has a natural feel for the barrel and gets it into the hitting zone early and stays through the hitting zone with consistency allowing him to produce consistent hard contact. The swing path is geared for an all fields approach mainly using the gaps with doubles power, but his ability to get in the zone early allows him to use the backside of the field with feel and when he connects out front the extension and use of his lower half provides leverage to the pull side that can eventually play to HR power on the pull side. Defensively, he has a solid base of fundamentals with good footwork and glove presentation, using soft hands and a quick transfer into the throwing position his fringe average arm strength will play up because of the accuracy of his throws and ability to get the ball up and reach to throw quickly. He has the awareness and athleticism to throw from the 2-step, 4-step and on the run throwing patterns and feel to play both laterally and downhill on slow rollers which will allow him to stay in the middle of the diamond. Overall, Anthony presents a very solid college prospect who can stick as a middle of the diamond defender where his advanced LH bat will allow him to provide impact within a lineup and as he continues to develop his frame, add strength and explosion with maturity to his athleticism he will only continue to improve as a baseball player.

07/17/2022 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Hartford, CT Anthony is a SS who will graduate in 2023. Medium frame athletic build with room to fill throughout moving forward. In the infield, he works to center the baseball and showed ability to make routine plays. He fields from a square fielding position, with a good glove angle, and his hands out front. Made on-line throws consistently to first base from multiple arm slots with an arm velocity up to 77mph. He showed good touch on his DP feeds. At the plate, he hits from a crouched and even stance. He rotates his lower half to launch position, with a middle of the field approach, and he keeps his hands inside the baseball. He showed a fast barrel through the hitting zone. Made square contact into both gaps with a bat exit velocity up to 82mph. With another year of continued growth and development, we foresee Jayden having a bright future on the baseball field.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
