01/11/2008 - Under Armour Pre-Season All-America - 2008 Anthony is a tall, thim 1B/LHP that has room to grow into body. At 1B, does a good job of making all the plays and getting rid of ball quickly. Would like to see him get feet under him instead of throwing from open feet position which makes him a slinger. At the plate, does a god job with lower half explosion and keeps hands inside ball. At times, hands drift out in front of body which makes him come around ball. On the mound, was under control and had good direction towards the plate. Needs to have good glove side lead and play long toss to strengthen arm. Shoulder looks stiff but will loosen up with appropriate long toss.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
