07/26/2019 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 1 (Ages 14-18) Anthony is a coachable SS/RHP prospect who worked hard on his skills during the National World Series at Pirate City. In the field, Anthony shows active footwork and flashes good lateral range. He gets into an athletic position and fields the ball out in front of his body. He makes a quick exchange and gets rid of the ball quickly. Working to keep his throws accurate to his target can help Anthony improve defensively. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a tall stance with a centered stride. He shows fluid rhythm and rotates his core well, leading to solid contact. Anthony can improve as a hitter by taking a level swing path. On the mound, Anthony gathers over the rubber and separates his hands on time. He works with a clean arm and extends through his release, finishing with his chest over his front knee. Anthony shows a two pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 75mph with cutting action. Breaking ball sits from 59-63mph with 10-4 break. Striding square towards the plate can help Anthony improve as a pitcher. Overall, Anthony is a solid prospect who has the potential to further develop his skills on the field.
