01/14/2022 - 2022 Baseball Factory Pre-Season All-America Tournament (FL) Anthony is a 2023 SS/RHP prospect who showcased his skills at the Baseball Factory Pre-Season All-American Tournament. At SS, he starts with a good pre-pitch routine, with active feet, and showed ability to cover ground in all directions. He creates good fielding angles as he fields with his hands out front with a loose arm stroke. He made consistent throws from multiple arm slots, with momentum towards target, and arm velocity up to 92mph. At the plate, he hits from an upright and square stance. Has smooth timing to swing, with intent in swing, and showed a fast barrel through the hitting zone. Made hard consistent contact to the pull side with a bat exit velocity up to 90mph. During the games, he made solid contact with 3 singles. On the mound, he showed a fast arm and strides square to his target with a controlled landing. In the game, he worked 3 innings and showed a FB that topped out at 89mph, and an 11/5 shaped breaking ball with medium break. He struck out 3 batters and competed well. Anthony is a solid 2-way prospect who has the potential to further build upon his skills on the field with continued development.

09/03/2021 - Baseball Factory's All-Region Tournament (HS) Anthony is an athletic SS who has a promising future on the diamond. Foot speed is well above average as indicated by his 7.09 60 time. At SS, defensive abilities are well above average as he displays smooth / athletic actions. Feet are active as he works around balls and plays through with his body. Glove action is clean and presents well out front. He moves well laterally and covers a lot of ground in the MIF. Throws are accurate with carry (88 mph velocity) across the diamond. At the plate, he shows a balanced setup. Hands are quick and work through an aggressive swing path. He makes consistent hard contact through a line drive approach with power showing best to the pull side. With 2 years to further develop, Anthony has a lot of potential and will get looks from the collegiate coaches as he continues to progress his game.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
