01/18/2019 - 2019 Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament Anthony is an athletic SS prospect who continued to showcase his skill at the Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament. In the field, Anthony shows active footwork and takes good angles to the ball. He gets into an athletic position and fields the ball out in front of his body with sure hands. He makes a quick exchange and gets rid of the ball quickly, keeping his throws accurate with carry through his target. At the plate, this RHH sets up in an open stance with comfortable hands. He takes a level swing with fast bat speed, leading to loud contact and solid pop to his pull side. Overall, Anthony is a talented prospect who will be one to follow going into his senior season.

10/10/2018 - Arizona Senior Fall Classic Anthony continues to show as a top prospect on the diamond. He utilizes his quick / athletic feet well in his lateral movements, displaying range in the MIF and attacks balls playing through well while presenting hands well out front. Hands / feet work well together through the fielding process. He shows big play potential in the MIF. Throws are accurate with accuracy and zip across the diamond as he gets rid of the baseball quickly. At the plate, he continues to shine through a squared / athletic setup. Hands are quick, generating bat speed through a level swing path. He works to stay inside the ball, showing a feel for the barrel as he uses the middle of the field well. The baseball jumps off his bat when centered. Once on base, he is aggressive and utilizes his outstanding foot speed to take the extra base. Anthony is a hardnosed player that flat gets it down on the field and he will get looks from the top collegiate coaches with his baseball tools.

07/25/2018 - Under Armour Southwest Championships 17U, powered by Baseball Factory's Team One Anthony ran his fastest 60 to date at 6.77 seconds during the UA Southwest Championship. He is a lean, talented SS with a high ceiling. At SS, Anthony has good pre-pitch actions, quick feet, and soft/presentable hands. He fields cleanly, flashes a good backhand, and works the double play well. Anthony has a quick release with carry and accuracy across the diamond. At the plate, Anthony has good balance, he swings in good rhythm, and has fast bat speed. He has solid separation, a direct barrel to the ball, and he can hit to all fields.

06/09/2018 - 2018 Under Armour Showcase: Baseball Factory's National Texas Anthony is a talented athlete who is fun to watch. Quick/fluid actions allow him to work naturally through the baseball as he has a quick release and zip on his throws across the diamond (88 mph velocity). He has plus lateral range and makes the tough plays in the hole and to his glove side with ease. At the plate, this switch hitter stands in well with fluid rhythm. Quick hands whip the barrel (82 mph exit velocity) to and through the contact point as he extends through and drives the ball to the deep parts of the park. A special player, Anthony has the ability to make things happen both offensively and defensively.

01/12/2018 - 2018 Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament Anthony is a talented and hard working 2019 SS prospect. At SS, Anthony has good actions to the ball and presents a low/early glove. He works from the ground up, has a clean exchange, and throws from multiple arm angles. At the plate, Anthony starts in an athletic stance, loads his hands back into the drive position, and uses his lower half well. He has a middle approach and drive the ball to all fields. Anthony will continue to improve with experience and we hope to see his progress in the future.

10/18/2017 - Arizona Junior Fall Classic Anthony is a can't miss prospect who has all the intangibles you look for at the next level. He has blazing speed and eye-popping athleticism that allow him to make plays that other players can't. His great quickness leads to extended range at all spots and he gets good reads and jumps to make tough plays. His hands work well and he fields cleanly and has a clean exchange to throw. At the dish, he has a compact swing with quick hands that generate fast bat speed through the zone. He has an opposite field approach and stays back to cover the whole zone and make square contact to all fields. Anthony has valuable skills all over the field and is a player who can contribute at the next level.

07/19/2017 - Under Armour Southwest Championships 16U, powered by Baseball Factory's Team One Anthony is a talented SS/OF prospect who has a long, projectable frame and versatile skill set. In the field, Anthony plays with quick footwork and an effective first step getting a good jump on the ball. He moves with agile actions as he presents his glove and fields the ball in an athletic position. Anthony gets good glove extension and has a quick exchange leading into a loose arm action throwing from a 3/4 arm slot. He has a quick release producing strong, consistent throws across the diamond. As a switch-hitter, Anthony has an open, athletic stance with a firm front side and centered balance. He has smooth rhythm with an effective load and short, square stride. Anthony has direct swing path and shows consistent contact. He is a contact type hitter who has an aggressive approach. Overall, Anthony plays the game athletically with the right approach on both sides of the ball giving him a bright future on the diamond.

07/05/2017 - Under Armour Firecracker Classic 18U, powered by Baseball Factory's Team One Anthony continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities and has the makings to be a special type player at the next level. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date at 6.82. Defensive grades have improved, now showing as well above average skills as he displays clean / smooth actions. He utilizes his quick / athletic feet well in attacking ground balls, plays through well, and presents soft / clean hands well out front. Lateral movements are a plus as he displays range and shows big play potential in the MIF. Arm strength is well above average (86 mph velocity) with throws displaying accuracy, life, and on line carry as he gets rid of the baseball quickly. At the plate, he continues to show as a switch hitter but projects best from the right side. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Mental makeup is a plus as he is a gamer and is very coachable and works extremely hard.

06/17/2017 - Omaha National World Series - Session 1 (Ages 14-18) Anthony is an athletic built SS/OF prospect who has a well-rounded skill set and graduates in 2019. Offensively, Anthony has an open stance with a centered balance. He has smooth rhythm with a good load and square stride. Anthony shows fast bat speed with an on-plane swing path producing square contact. He has an aggressive approach and stays inside the baseball. Anthony has the power to drive the ball to each gap. In the field, Anthony plays with active footwork and does a nice job to work around the baseball. He presents his glove and fields the ball in an athletic position working from the ground up. Anthony has a quick, clean exchange leading into a loose arm action throwing from high 3/4 arm slot. He plays with good momentum through the baseball producing consistently strong, accurate throws across the diamond. Overall, Anthony is a talented prospect who has high upside and potential to make an impact at the next level.

03/19/2017 - College PREP - Monterey Park (Los Angeles), CA Anthony is a versatile SS/OF prospect who has a lean, athletic build and graduates in 2019. As a switch-hitter, Anthony does a nice job tracking the baseball and he has a square setup with good balance. He has an on-time, short stride with a good load. Anthony has a short, direct swing path and maintains a quiet head throughout his swing. He has the ability to spray the ball to all fields and shows most solid contact to the pull side. At SS, Anthony plays with quick, active footwork taking the correct angles to cover good ground laterally. He fields the ball in a low, athletic position with soft hands. Anthony has a quick exchange leading into a long arm action throwing from a 3/4 slot. He plays with momentum through the baseball showing strong, accurate throws across the diamond. In the outfield, Anthony plays with fast footwork and an aggressive approach. He has a quick exchange and long throwing action maintaining the 3/4 slot. Overall, Anthony is a talented prospect who can impact the game from both sides of the ball.

10/05/2016 - Arizona Freshman/Sophomore Fall Classic Anthony came to play at this event, showing off some impressive progress since the last time we saw him. He showed some serious athleticism that led to a sub-7 second 60 time and improved agility in his 5-10-5 times. At the dish, this switch hitting prospect displayed quiet actions and was comfortable up there no matter who was pitching. He starts with a good base and rhythm to load and stride on time, and incorporates his lower half effectively to generate bat speed through the zone. Working on his front side and swing path from the left side will lead to a much more even approach from both sides of the plate. At short, he shows off natural actions, working from the ground up and fielding the ball to the left of center to gain ground to his target. He presents his hands well to field, with good feel for the backhand, and receive throws and has an accurate arm all around the infield. Anthony's hard work and coachable attitude make for a high ceiling with his tools.

08/04/2016 - Baseball Factory Pro Select Training & Tournament at Historic Dodgertown Anthony continues to show improvements in his baseball tools. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date. At SS, defensive abilities have really improved, displaying smooth / fluid actions. Feet are active as he works to square balls up. Glove action is soft / sure and presents well out front. He shows off his athletic abilities on feeds / turn of the double play. At the plate, he continues to show as a switch hitter but projects best from the right side. Hands are quick and work through an aggressive swing path. He works to stay inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Mental makeup is very coachable and he works hard to be the best player he can be.

01/15/2016 - Baseball Factory Spring Training in Arizona (Ages 14-18) Anthony is a hard nosed player who leaves it all on the field. Defensively in the MIF, he puts his athleticism on display. He works fluidly from right to left around the GB. He tracks the ball into a soft mitt, gathering smoothly and working through the ball in-line toward his target. With the bat, Anthony has a square setup with good separation to load. Hands are quick to and through a level path as he connects and drives the ball with some pop. Creating more extension through contact will help to increase power at the plate. Mase is a very coachable player who works hard day in and day out. Only a 2019 grad - he has a bright future as he continues to develop and physically mature.

07/24/2015 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 2 Anthony showed some improvements in his most recent outing with Baseball Factory, including velo and 60yd dash time. Defensively, Anthony is a leader on the field with good instincts and knowledge of the game. He works around the ball from right to left with quick hands and a smooth transfer. Fielding the ball out in front will improve his defensive abilities. At the plate, Anthony finds the barrel consistently with a top of the lineup approach. He is a game changer on the bases, always striving to get to the next base. Anthony is a young player and with continued work on baseball specific drills, will see success in the future.

01/16/2015 - Baseball Factory Spring Training in Arizona (Ages 12-14) Anthony is a young two-way player, who continues to show improvements, with good athleticism and good baseball IQ. Defensively he shows active feet, and is able to work through the baseball toward his target. Anthony also shows good pre-pitch actions with good rhythm, allowing him to show good range, with plus range to his glove side. At the plate Anthony shows good rhythm throughout the entire swing, and allows his entire body to work during the swing by driving the back side to the baseball. On the mound Anthony is able to stay on top of the baseball and work on a downward plane toward the target, allowing him to fill up the strike zone consistently.

07/25/2014 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City Anthony is a talented two way player that plays 2B and also pitches. In the infield he fields the ball out front with sure hands, uses the proper footwork with his approach, and has good body control. At the plate he has a smooth load, good balance, and a nice rhythm. He has good plate discipline and an advanced approach seeing a lot of pitches. He is a tough out for any pitcher as he consistently made contact during games. On the mound Anthony gets to a good balance point, has a repeatable delivery, and showed a lot of confidence. His fastball has good arm side run with late sink and he pounded the strike zone getting ahead of hitters early. Anthony is a hard worker and will continue to improve in the field and on the mound with his work ethic.

02/28/2014 - Yankees Spring Training Experience Anthony continues to show good athleticism and baseball instincts. Defensively, he works well from right to left and reaches a good fielding position. His next progression is to make sure he is playing through the ball, using his body and feet to help reach his target. On the mound, Anthony is a strike thrower and shows command of two pitches. His tempo is quick reaching a good balance point. Working on keeping his front side closed and staying on top of the ball will help down the road. At the plate, he shows good mechanics and barrel delivery. If he can improve on his hands and hips working together he will see more power in his overall swing.

01/17/2014 - Baseball Factory Spring Training in Arizona (Ages 12-14) Anthony is a young player that showed good baseball instincts. On the mound, he showed solid mechanics reaching a strong balance point, on time separation, and in line direction. He can continue to work on building arm strength as well as work on getting more of his backside through. Defensively, Anthony shows the ability to make plays with good awareness. He is smooth to the glove side with a clean exchange. He will need to work on making sure he breaks his feet down to help reach a lower fielding position. At the plate, he displayed an aggressive approach with good balance and an activated load. Working on exploding through the ball with better extension will help build strength in his swing.

12/15/2013 - Interactive Video Program - Ontario, CA Anthony is a young, thin, 2-way player who plays SS and RHP. Defensively, Anthony has good body control, efficient footwork, and he plays low to the ground. He has sure hands, a clean exchange, and he gets the ball quickly across the diamond. On the mound, Anthony has a long / free arm action, good direction toward home, and he keeps his eyes on target. At the plate, Anthony has an athletic stance, he keeps his hands inside the ball, and he uses the middle of the field. He makes contact, and uses some lower body. Overall abilities can improve with work on the following.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
