06/16/2019 - College PREP - Tacoma, WA Anthony is an athletic C prospect who continues to showcase his skills on the field. Behind the plate, Anthony shows quick footwork and is agile moving to the ball. He sits in an athletic stance and presents a good target to the pitcher. He makes a quick exchange and gets rid of the ball quickly, keeping his throws accurate and on-line to the 2B bag. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a square stance and takes a short stride. He gets into his load and drives through well with his lower half. He takes a short swing with fast bat speed, leading to consistent contact to all fields. Overall, Anthony is a talented prospect who has the potential to contribute at the next level.

12/27/2017 - Baseball Factory Christmas Camp & Tournament at Pirate City - Session 2 (Ages 14-18) Anthony is a tall and athletic 2020 C/3B prospect. Behind the dish, Anthony has good footwork during his exchange, and makes accurate throws to the bases. Continuing to have a low and athletic primary will allow him to present a better target. Working behind the ball will allow him to have strong post pitch presentation. Leading with the glove to block and smothering the ball with his chest will enable Anthony to control the running game. At the plate, Anthony starts in a tall and athletic stance. He works the count well and makes consistent contact. Continuing to use the lower half and attacking the inside part of the ball will allow him to drive the ball to all fields. Anthony is a very coachable player and has the ability lead players on the field. He will continue to improve with experience and we hope to see his progress in the future.

10/01/2017 - College PREP - Spokane, WA Anthony is a lean catcher who has a promising future on the diamond. Behind the plate, feet are active in working in line to his target through a clean transfer exchange. Pop times showed a range 2.14-2.24 with accuracy and carry on his throws, showing well above average arm strength. Times will continue to drop as he works to get rid of the baseball quicker. He tracks balls well and sticks balls. He utilizes his body well through the blocking process and is a wall behind the plate. Receiving / blocking skills show as outstanding tools that will play well at the next level. At the plate, he shows a tall, squared setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. With 3 years to further develop, Anthony has the makings of a special type player with time and room to progress his game.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
