06/21/2014 - Omaha National World Series - Session 2 Anthony continues to show as an OF/RHP with steady play in his baseball abilities. In the OF, he utilizes his quick feet in covering a lot of ground and makes the routine plays. For defensive grade to continue to improve, he needs to work on reading balls better off the bat and work and getting behind balls more to play through with momentum to target. Throws are accurate but needs to build more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, he shows a balanced setup. Hands are loose and work through a level swing path. He will put the ball in play and makes consistent contact. Hitting grade will continue to improve as he works to get his stride foot down to work on time. Power numbers will continue to improve as he learns to use his lower half more. At the event, he was 3 for 11. On the mound, fastball showed a range of 74-75 mph with arm side run. Slider displays 10/4 shape with gradual break. Stock on the mound will continue to rise as more arm strength is gained, develops better off speed stuff, and works to throw more strikes. Mental makeup is a plus as he has a great personality, is very coachable and works hard to be the best player he can be.
