04/14/2019 - National Tryout Plus - Costa Mesa (Los Angeles), CA Anthony showed improvements in his all around game during his last workout with The Factory. He improved defensive grades, raised velocity (65 MPH), and showed improvements at the plate. At SS, Anthony has fluid/active feet, soft/presentable hands, and he fields low and athletically. He has good pre-pitch actions, stays low throughout, and throws with momentum from a short arm action to his target. Offensively, Anthony has a square/athletic set-up, good balance, and he swings in good rhythm. He has a still head, fast bat speed, and shows the ability to hit to all fields. Anthony is a solid young player with a nice upside.

12/27/2018 - Baseball Factory Winter Classic - Session 2 (Ages 12-14) Anthony is a coachable SS prospect who worked hard on his skills during his time at the Winter Classic. In the field, Anthony takes a good first step and shows efficient footwork. He gets into an athletic position and fields the ball out in front of his body with sure hands. He makes a clean exchange and throws from a high 3/4 angle, keeping his throws accurate with carry through his target. Anthony can improve defensively by long tossing to build up his arm strength. At the plate, this RHH sets up in an open stance with his hands held high. He gets into a simple load and works to barrel up the baseball, making solid contact. Getting his stride foot down sooner can help Anthony improve as a hitter. With five more years to develop, Anthony has the time and potential to further progress his skills on the field.

07/22/2018 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 2 (Ages 12-14) Anthony is an athletic and talented 2024 SS prospect that works hard and made several adjustments throughout the week at Pirate City. At SS Anthony presents a low/early glove, is on time with his pre-pitch set up, and funnels the ball into his body. He anticipates the ball off the bat, has good footwork on double plays and has a quick release. Continuing to practice game like throws in his throwing program will increase his ability to throw from multiple arm angles and on the run. At the plate, Anthony starts in a crouched position, loads his hands back, and has good tempo in his load. He needs to continue to attack the inside part of the ball and create backside rotation to get extension through contact. Anthony is a grinder. He will continue to improve through increasing arm strength and working on his first step to the ball. He will continue to improve with experience and we hope to see his progress in the future.

01/28/2018 - Interactive Video Program - San Diego, CA Anthony is a young, SS with good skills. In the INF, Anthony has fluid/active feet, agile movements to the ball, and he fields in a low/athletic position. He takes good angles to the ball, fields in rhythm, and throws with consistency across the diamond. At the plate, Anthony has a crouched stance, he loads properly, and swings in good rhythm. He stands in well balanced, makes consistent contact, and has a line drive approach. Anthony can get even better with work on the following.

Defense
1. Loosen actions
2. Arm strength
3. Quicken feet
Offense
1. Level swing
2. Loosen grip
3. Bat speed

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
