01/15/2021 - 2021 Baseball Factory Pre-Season All-America Tournament (TX) Anthony is a strong 1B/RHP prospect who showed well during the Pre-Season All-America Tournament. In the field, Anthony shows fluid footwork and moves well laterally. He gets into an athletic position and fields the ball out in front with soft hands. His exchange is quick and he makes on-line throws with carry through his target. At the plate, this RHH sets up in an athletic stance and takes a square stride. He is smooth to load and hits against a strong front side, using the entire field well. On the mound, Anthony gathers over the rubber and separates his hands on time. He works inline toward the plate and finishes with a controlled landing. Anthony shows a two pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 73mph. Breaking ball sits from 64-66mph with 10-4 break. Overall, Anthony is a talented prospect who has the potential to contribute at the next level.

08/02/2020 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Council Bluffs (Omaha), IA Anthony is a tall 3B prospect who will graduate in 2022. In the field, Anthony shows efficient footwork and fields the ball out in front of his body. He makes a clean exchange and works to keep his throws accurate to his target. Getting into a more athletic fielding position can help Anthony improve defensively. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a closed stance and gets into his load smoothly. He drives through well with his lower half and generates fast bat speed through the zone, leading to solid contact to his pull side. Anthony can improve as a hitter by maintaining center balance throughout his swing. Overall, Anthony is a solid prospect who has the potential to further develop his skills on the field.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
