In the OF, Anthony shows an athletic ready position as he works to range to the ball. He can improve his game by making his footwork cleaner. As he fields the ball his exchanges are clean as he creates momentum towards his target working from the 3/4 slot. Anthony sets up at the plate with an open stance taking a small stride to start the swing. He keeps is body in control allowing him to get the barrel on plane producing fast bat speed. He shows power potential and the ability to hit to all fields. On the mound, he shows a 3 pitch mix with a FB/CB/CH. the FB is 79-82, the CB is 63-65 with 9-3 sharp break, and the CH sits 69-70. On the mound, Anthony shows confidence starting with a simple starter step with a relaxed knee lift. He separates on time as he strides down the mound keeping his shoulders in line. Anthony has a solid frame to build strength and athleticism onto and has potential to make an impact at the next level.

07/04/2020 - Baseball Factory Firecracker Classic 18U Anthony Sheridon is a tall/broad shouldered two-way guy, OF/RHP, that showed exceptional athleticism and upside at the Firecracker Classic with Baseball Factory. In the OF, he was efficient with his footwork to make plays with a sure glove. He was clean with his exchange and through with momentum to his targets from a 3/4 arm slot. He generate good strength with his throws and with his speed & reads - 6.82 sixty - can play anywhere out there. At the plate, he showed plus pop with fast bat speed and an 87 mph exit velo. He showed good balance through the swing and worked during the week on his rhythm and fluidity - getting the body to work in unison for line-drive contact. On the mound, he threw a FB from 77-79 and a CB with 11/5 shape and tight spin from 62-65. He had good presence on the mound and was able to repeat his delivery with a simple starter step and plus balance. His separation was on-time and his back arm-action was very clean to pound the zone. In all - Anthony is a promising, coachable player that asks questions and is always looking to improve.

02/17/2020 - College PREP - Beverly Hills (Detroit), MI Anthony is a tall, lean RHP/OF who has a promising future on the diamond. Foot speed is outstanding as indicated by his 6.97 60 time. In the OF, he utilizes his quick feet well in taking proper routes / angles in tracking down balls. He works to get behind balls and plays through with momentum to his target. Glove action is clean and presents well out front. Range is a plus as he moves well laterally and covers a lot of ground. At the plate, he continues to shine through a crouched setup. Hands are quick (84 mph exit velocity) and work to and through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields with gap-to-gap pop. On the mound, fastball showed a range of 75-78 mph. Breaking ball displays 11/5 shape with gradual break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup but needs to develop more movement on pitch. Stock on the mound will continue to improve as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. Anthony has a lot of potential and will get looks from the collegiate coaches as he continues to progress his game.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
