05/16/2021 - All-In Membership - Geneva, NY Anthony is a C/3B who will graduate in 2022. Tall frame athletic build and plenty of physical projection remaining. Primary catcher, active feet and quiet movements behind the plate. Good direction towards second base. Soft hands while working thumb under pitches and keeping balls in the zone. Tracks pitches well and tucks chin on balls in dirt. Clean exchanges, with on-line throws, and an arm velocity of 73mph and a best pop time of 2.22 seconds. Secondary 3B, starts with active feet and a pre-pitch routine. Works right to left while creating good fielding angles. Gathers nicely and works towards target. Throws from a high 3/4 arm slot with accurate/on-line throws across diamond. Right-handed hitter hits from a tall and even stance. Controlled load and a direct bat path. Long levers enable him to hit line drives to all fields with a bat exit velocity of 85mph. With continued growth and development, we foresee Anthony having opportunities to play at the next level.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
