02/10/2008 - College PREP - Houston, TX Anthony is a strong tall player. At 1B, shows a low glove and soft hands. Stays light on feet and has some carry on throws. Tends to field and stand straight up which decrease momentum. Keeping knees bent throughout fielding process and staying lower during the throw will help increase momentum to target. Swing has quick hands and a good weight transfer. Uses the lower half well. Drops back shoulder during swing which effects bat path and extension. Keeping back shoulder more level will help straighten out swing and help hands move through zone better.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
