Official Scouting Report

  • Class Rating
  • 2BPosition Projection

07/22/2013 - College PREP - Washington DC, MD Antonio is a smooth fielding 2B who has a MIF type build. He fields from the right and works through the ball toward his target. His active footwork and smooth glove provide this MIF with the tools he will need at the next level. Offensively, he is aggressive and takes a hack. He has a repeatable/smooth swing and hits the ball where it's pitched, using the whole field well. He is a top of the line-up type of guy who will consistently put the ball in play. Increased pop will come with more usage of his lower 1/2. Antonio has a solid skill set that will give him success in the game.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "present" abilities (tools), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year, using the scale below. However, grades 10-18 are not available for use with High School players (ages 14-18), while grades 55-70 are not available for use with Pre High School players (ages 12-14). These instances are marked as "--- N/A ---" in the "Description" fields below.
