09/18/2022 - All-In Membership - Erie, PA Antonio showed nice upgrades in his game during his last workout in Erie. He raised arm velocity to 81 MPH, fielding grade improved, and RHH spiked. In the OF, Antonio gets in a good ready position, he tracks well, and fields aggressively. He takes proper angles, makes plays consistently, and gets rid of the ball quickly to his target. At the plate, Antonio is currently a better hitter from the right side. He has plus bat speed, good balance, and solid feel for the barrel. He swings in good rhythm, swings on plane, and hits hard to the pull side. From the left, Antonio has a tall stance, good balance, and a still head. He swings on plane and makes consistent contact.

08/01/2021 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 2 (HS) Antonio is a coachable C/OF prospect who worked hard on his skills during the National World Series at Pirate City. Behind the dish, Antonio presents a good target to the pitcher and tracks the ball into his glove. His exchange is quick and he gains ground well on his throws, keeping them accurate to the 2B bag. He creates good angles when blocking and centers dirt balls in the middle of his body. Sitting in a more square stance can help Antonio improve his overall catching ability. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a tall stance with comfortable hands. He works to barrel up the baseball and produces solid line drives. Antonio can create more consistent contact by taking a more controlled stride. Overall, Antonio is a solid prospect who has the potential to further build upon his skills on the field.

12/27/2020 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Pittsburgh, PA Antonio continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities. Behind the dish, he presents a soft/sure mitt showing great pocket awareness sticking pitches. He uses his body through the blocking process, centering balls out front. Pop times have improved as he threw his lowest time to date at 2.38 with accuracy to his target. Times will continue to drop as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. In the OF, he takes proper routes / angles in tracking down balls. He works to get behind balls but needs to play through more with momentum to his target. He moves well laterally with range improving as he increases his foot quickness. At the plate, shows as a switch hitter but projects best as a RHH. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach.

11/15/2018 - Baseball Factory Select Training & Competition at Pirate City (Ages 12-14) Antonio is a coachable C/OF prospect who worked hard on his skills during his time at the Select Training & Competition at Pirate City. Behind the plate, Antonio tracks the ball well and receives with good hands. He makes a clean exchange and keeps his throws accurate to 2B. Setting up in a lower primary stance can help Antonio improve defensively. At the plate, this switch hitter shows a solid swing from both sides. He sets up in a square stance and takes a square stride. He is fluid getting into his load and hits from a strong front side. He takes a direct swing with fast bat speed which leads to solid line drives. Antonio can improve as a hitter by consistently keeping his head on the ball. With five more years to develop, Antonio has the time and potential to further progress his skills on the field.

06/17/2018 - Interactive Video Program - Erie, PA Antonio is a young, athletic, 2-way player who can switch hit. Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
