08/02/2017 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 2 (Ages 14-18) Antonio is a long, lean RHP/SS who is a prospect on the diamond. Foot speed is outstanding as indicated by his 60 time of 6.84. At the plate is where he shows best, displaying well above average hitting / power potential through an athletic setup. Hands are quick (81 mph exit velocity) and work through a compact swing path. He works to stay inside the ball, utilizing the whole field with gap-to-gap pop. At SS, he displays smooth / fluid actions. Feet are active / aggressive as he takes good first steps in attacking the baseball. Glove action is soft / clean and presents well out front. Range is a plus as he moves well laterally. On the mound, he continues to shine. Fastball shows a range of 80-82 mph with cutting action. Breaking ball displays 10/4 shape with late break and shows potential as being a quality pitch. Control is a plus as he attacks hitters and throws strikes with all his pitches. Stock on the mound will continue to improve as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. Mental makeup is a plus as he is very coachable and plays the game hard. Antonio has a lot of potential and will get looks from the collegiate coaches with his baseball abilities, possibly as a two-way guy.
