01/14/2022 - 2022 Baseball Factory Pre-Season All-America Tournament (FL) Antretz is a 2023 OF/RHP who showcased his skills during the Baseball Factory Pre-Season All-American Tournament. On the mound, he showed ability to plane out and keeps ball down in the zone. He separates his hands on-time, with a loose/quick arm stroke, and extends through his target. He attacks hitters with a FB that topped out at 82mph with some movement, and a 10/4 shaped breaking ball with good depth and plus command. In 2 innings of work, he punched out 2 hitters and induced soft contact. In the outfield, he works from right to left and showed ability to close distance on batted balls. He fields from a square fielding position with hands out front. A long/loose arm stroke in the back as he works to an over-the-top arm slot coming forward. Throws were accurate and on-line into infield with an arm velocity up to 84mph. At the plate, this right-handed hitter hits from a tall and open stance. Showed good rhythm to swing, with looseness to hands, and was centered at contact. Showed a flat barrel path as he hit line drives into both gaps with a bat exit velocity up to 90mph. During the games, he drew a walk and showed good plate discipline. With another year of continued growth and development, we see this 2-way prospect making huge strides on the baseball field.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
